Gaydos Applauds UPMC, Highmark on Reaching New 10-Year Agreement
HARRISBURG – Rep. Valerie Gaydos (R-Allegheny) issued the following statement today commending UPMC and Highmark for reaching a new long-term, in-network contract:
“I would like to applaud UPMC, Highmark and everybody involved who worked hard to bring about this agreement. Most importantly, I applaud the people of western Pennsylvania for their patience during this multi-year public dispute. This agreement will allow patients access to the health care providers of their choice and give western Pennsylvanians long-term peace of mind about their health care options. The quality of health care for our residents is the top priority, and I am glad that this has been realized by all involved in the new 10-year agreement.”
