Gaydos Secures Grant to Launch Pittsburgh Innovation Park in Findlay Township

February 26, 2026

HARRISBURG – In a major boost for economic development in western Pennsylvania, Rep. Valerie Gaydos (R-Allegheny) today announced an $8.98 million grant to AMS Land Acquisitions, LLC, to support development of the 596-acre Pittsburgh Innovation Park property in Findlay Township. The funding will accelerate site preparation and infrastructure improvements needed to transform the property into a premier destination for business growth and job creation.

The grant was awarded through the Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites (PA SITES) program. Improvements will include construction of roadway infrastructure; water and sanitary utility extensions; sidewalks and park lighting; storm sewers and stormwater retention facilities; retaining walls and related structures; connections to the existing roadway network; mass grading to address areas of extreme topography; and environmental remediation for any unforeseen contaminants.

“This investment sends a powerful message that Allegheny County is ready to compete and win,” said Gaydos. “By preparing this site with the infrastructure businesses need from day one, we are laying the groundwork for high-quality job creation, private investment and long-term economic strength. Strategic development ensures our region remains attractive to innovative employers and provides real opportunity for our communities.”

The Pittsburgh Innovation Park project is designed to position Findlay Township and the surrounding region as a hub for business expansion and new investment, leveraging its size and strategic location to attract a range of industries.

PA SITES was established to provide grant and loan funding to eligible applicants to develop competitive sites for businesses to relocate or expand within the Commonwealth. The program includes both planning grants and construction grants and loans to support site development and readiness.
