Warmest Holiday Wishes to You and Yours
I would like to extend the warmest holiday wishes to you and your family. It is my privilege and honor every day to be your state representative in the House. Though there may be challenges, this is a time to come together and reflect on the blessings in our lives.
Here is my office schedule during the holidays:
Also, PennDOT Driver License Centers will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 25, for Christmas, and on Saturday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day. Customers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services online through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website, www.dmv.pa.gov.

Communities First: Focusing on What Unites Us, Not What Divides Us, Makes Us Stronger
One of the most important constitutional components vital to the state redistricting process in Pennsylvania is ensuring that “communities of interest” – people who live together stay together. Why? Because there is power in numbers and it is important to have proportional and effective representation in Harrisburg. Simply put, divided communities are diminished communities. This is not a Republican issue or a Democrat issue. This is a community issue.
While the Legislative Reapportionment Commission (LRC) came up with a preliminary map using a variety of different academic metrics which some commission members deemed important, it is now up to you to add the real and active human element to the maps called “communities of interest” – where you live, work, play, shop and worship together. United communities help your state representatives effectively advocate for funding your community projects so please help the commission understand what will help keep our communities united, not divided.
Now that the preliminary plan has been filed with the secretary of the Commonwealth, your involvement in the legislative redistricting process from this point forward is critically important. Comments and objections (referred to by the commission as exceptions) can now be made on the LRC’s website here.
The deadline for exceptions is Jan. 18, 2022. Exceptions must be either uploaded on the website or physically received by the commission by that deadline. Exceptions uploaded or received after Jan. 18, 2022, even if post-marked before that date, cannot be considered by the commission.
Through the additional process and changes, I am sure that we can get to a map we all agree is in the best interest of our communities of Pennsylvania and not partisan politics.

Joining Forces, United We Stand!
“United we stand, divided we fall” is a phrase that can be traced back some 2,600 years to sixth century B.C. It is a saying generally attributed to one of Aesop's fables, The Four Oxen and the Lion:
“A lion used to prowl about a field in which four oxen lived. Many a time he tried to attack them, but whenever he came near, they turned their tails to warn each other, so that whichever way he approached them he was met by the horns of one of them. But then the oxen quarreled, and each went to their own corner of the field. The lion attacked them one by one and soon made an end of all four. United we stand, divided we fall.”
Together we can achieve greater success than we can alone. May we all take the time to find what unites us, not what divides us.

Merry Christmas!
