Join Me for My Identity Theft Prevention & Shredding Event
Identity theft is one of the fastest-growing crimes across the Commonwealth and we need to put a stop to it. That is why I am teaming up with Moon Township to host an Identity Theft Prevention & Shredding Event.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 17, from 9-11 a.m., at 1005 Beaver Grade Road, Moon Township. It is the silver building located behind Huntington National Bank and Howard Hanna Realty.
Residents are encouraged to drop off documents that contain sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, medical data or bank account numbers to be shredded at no cost. There is a two-grocery bag/small box limit. Industrial shredders will be on site to securely shred documents.
Phonebooks, newspapers and bound books will not be accepted. No binders, binder clips, paperclips or plastic folders will be accepted.
Identity thieves often strike when you least expect it, so it is crucial to avoid taking the security of your personal data for granted. As you take steps to protect your information and identity, you will make yourself a more difficult target for thieves and may even stop them in their tracks.
